Building a community and safe space to always fall back on

If communities were like houses, then TMC has been a home. Navigating through life in SMU hasn't been easy but I've been blessed to meet the most encouraging friends and seniors from TMC who have made this journey so enjoyable. Some things can only be learned through experience and for that reason, having the privilege of being mentored in my 2nd year, and subsequently being a mentor in my final year has been life changing. From receiving and imparting wisdom, to simply getting coffee and good food, mentoring has always been about building a synergistic relationship based on common interests and goals! No two mentor-mentee experiences are the same, and I'd like to think of my experiences in TMC as a journey to a better place; somewhere I would not have gone to alone. Personally, it's been a blessing to make new friends, share new experiences, and challenge each other to grow.
